Beginners will rehearse from 4:30-5:30 on Wednesday, Nov. 30th - please arrive by 4:15 to be tuned. beginners need to be picked up after their rehearsal, as there will be no supervision afterwards. They should return, dressed for the concert by 6:40.
Advanced will rehearse from 5:45- 6:30. Please arrive by 5:30 to get tuned. If you are there before 5:30, high school students will be tuning in the hallway. For advanced students – please eat before the rehearsal and come dressed in your matching t-shirts.
Beginners and Advanced: I have “chaired” some students and I’ve told them who they are. It’s important that the first few rows has students that are playing correctly, especially bowing correctly. If your child is “chaired”, their name will be on a chair in their section. If they are not “Chaired” then they find a chair in their section – for example, it will say “cello” on the chairs and if they’re a cellist, then they find a cello chair.
What to bring: Your instrument, music stand (with your name labeled on both pieces!), music, rock stops (cellos) and shoulder rests (violinists and violists).
Concert dress: Your instrumental music matching t-shirts, dark on the bottom – please – no blue jeans. If you did not order a shirt, or got in your order form too late to be in time for this concert , please wear a maroon shirt – short or long sleeved. We have a few extra t-shirts that you can purchase at the rehearsal - $10.00 to Jeffco Public Schools.
There will not be orchestra on Thurs. Dec 1 at Bradford, Ute Meadows, and Stony Creek.
Reminder to continue to practice musicracer.com. Once in the program, choose your own instrument – clicking on “Fingerings” is more challenging. Have fun!
